Hmm...Don't Read!... this is not for you to read

Hey peeps,

All the sudden, I feel sad. Sad not because something happened to me, but I feel sad looking at the current political condition of my country. Well, usually, I won't bother much about the politics of my country because i know somehow, the issues will be solved by someone. but ... oh well.... i guess its time i be more concern about my country's politics

I love my country ( i nv knew i would publicly declare this). Yes i do love my country. I love my country for its freedom, its culture, the people and most importantly .. for the food.

Hmm, when i was younger, i used to say..... "How to love my country, when my country don't love me". Well, being away from my country makes me rethink a few things about my country. I have to admit, i do enjoy all the conveniences of democratic rights whilst i'm overseas but somehow, all those rights doesn't seem to mean anything to me because it was the rights that other people fought for, for themselves. Hmmm......

I don't know how to further express myself. I was kinda disappointed after watching an interview. Well, before i left to further my studies overseas, I kinda made up my mind that no matter what, I would come back to my country work in my country because i figured that if I, as a citizen of my country, who will ? The brits and yankees won't bother if my country cease to exist tmr but I am bothered to know if my country makes through tmr. Although, its hard to deny the fact that working overseas, i will be able to earn more money and make big bucks ( hypothetically) but, i wish i could confidently say that i will be satisfied just with that.

Then I began to question the significance of my existence. Does it matter my country if i work at home or overseas? Rain or Shine, the gov will still go on. If i was to disagree on one issue, will i be bestowed democratic rights to address the issue with a significant outcome ?? will racial disparity still be prevalant and hinder my rights and role as a citizen ? How effective can I be ?
The answer is most likely to be, me = non-effective . BUT!... i can be effective to the person next to me... and he to another ... and ... simple maths says... 1+1=2, 2+1=3,3+1=4..........Well, it may take a long time, but it has to start somewhere..... well, studies claims that we are 100 years behind the yanks as far as civilisation is concerned. So i guess, in 100 years, we can learn alot of things...

Haih... Well, if what i just said makes no sense to you, then ... just think of Nasi Lemak, Char Kuay Teow, Rendang, Roti Canai, Teh Tarik, Hokkien Mee, Mee Yoke, Asam Laksa, Curry, Nasi Goreng Ayam, Mee Goreng Mamak, IndoMEE double, Neslo,Ayam goreng... mymy ... FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!.. think of our MAMAK food..... are you willing to give up mamak food for potatoes and cheese? and... macaroni? and pasta? and pizza ? gosh!!!....

For the sake of our MAMAK food 'heritage', lets stick together. play your part. Know your role.. and DO IT.. let not one person's mistake jeopardize our heavenly Mamak culture... Change is about ME. Without our country.......there will be no more mamak.... so think hard be4 making any negative comments about our country.. Remember, what you say today, might cost us our dearly loved Mamak food tmr.
Lets all do this to ensure we have our MAMAK!..

I tot i just told you not to read ? haih...... :P

HAHHA

Work Hard . . . not!
Here's some tips from George Costanza to ensure that the hardest work you will do will be to create the impression that you work hard!

1. Never walk down the hall without a document in your hands. People with documents in their hands look like hard-working employees heading for important meetings. People with nothing in their hands look like they're heading for the cafeteria. People with a newspaper in their hands look like they're heading for the toilet. Above all, make sure you carry loads of stuff home with you at night, thus generating the false impression that you work longer hours than you do.

2. Use computers to look busy. Any time you use a computer, it looks like "work" to the casual observer. You can send and receive personal e-mail, calculate your finances and generally have a blast without doing anything remotely related to work. These aren't exactly the societal benefits that the proponents of the computer revolution would like to talk about but they're not bad either. When you get caught by your boss - and you will get caught - your best defense is to claim you're teaching yourself to use new software, thus saving valuable training dollars.

3. Messy desk. Top management can get away with a clean desk. For the rest of us, it looks like you're not working hard enough. Build huge piles of documents around your workspace. To the observer, last year's work looks the same as today's work; it's volume that counts. Pile them high and wide. If you know somebody is coming to your cubicle, bury the document you'll need halfway down in an existing stack and rummage for it when he/she arrives.

4. Voice mail. Never answer your phone if you have voice mail. People don't call you just because they want to give you something for nothing - they call because they want YOU to do work for THEM. That's no way to live. Screen all your calls through voice mail. If somebody leaves a voice mail message for you and it sounds like impending work, respond during lunch hour when you know they're not there - it looks like you're hard-working and conscientious even though you're being a devious weasel. If you diligently employ the method of screening incoming calls and then returning calls when nobody is there, this will greatly increase the odds that the caller will give up or look for a solution that doesn't involve you. The sweetest voice mail message you can ever hear is: "Ignore my last message. I took care of it". If your voice mailbox has a limit on the number of messages it can hold, make sure you reach that limit frequently. One way to do that is to never erase any incoming messages. If that takes too long, send yourself a few messages. Your callers will hear a recorded message that says, "Sorry, this mailbox is full" - a sure sign that you are a hard-working employee in high demand.

5. Looking Impatient and Annoyed. According to George Costanza, one should also always try to look impatient and annoyed to give your bosses the impression that you are always busy.

6. Appear to Work Late. Always leave the office late, especially when the boss is still around. You could read magazines and storybooks that you always wanted to read but have no time until late before leaving. Make sure you walk past the boss' room on your way out. Send important e-mails at unearthly hours (e.g., 9:35pm, 7:05am, etc...) and during public holidays.

7. Creative Sighing for Effect. Sigh loudly when there are many people around, giving the impression that you are very hard-pressed.

8. Stacking Strategy. It is not enough to pile lots of documents on the table. Put lots of books on the floor etc... Can always borrow from library. Thick computer manuals are the best.

9. Build Vocabulary. Read up on some computer magazines and pick out all the jargon and new products. Use it freely when in conversation with bosses. Remember: They don't have to understand what you say, but you sure sound impressive.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word?

Hey peeps,

This question was kinda floating in my head for the past few weeks. I really wonder if sorry was/ is the hardest word to say to someone.

Sorry means :
1. feeling regret, compunction, sympathy, pity, etc.: to be sorry to leave one's friends; to be sorry for a remark; to be sorry for someone in trouble.
2. regrettable or deplorable; unfortunate; tragic: a sorry situation; to come to a sorry end.
3. sorrowful, grieved, or sad: Was she sorry when her brother died?
4. associated with sorrow; suggestive of grief or suffering; melancholy; dismal.
5. wretched, poor, useless, or pitiful: a sorry horse.
6. (used interjectionally as a conventional apology or expression of regret): Sorry, you're misinformed. Did I bump you? Sorry.

Well, look at the definition of sorry, does saying sorry make oneself more inferior to the other person ?

Hmm, sorry is usually used as per definition No1. feeling regret.

Well, i came across a situation where a fren A offended fren B with some actions + words and knowingly that B was 'annoyed' with A, A insisted that no apology was needed. It however cause a strain in the 'relationship' of A and B. Lets disect and evaluate the problem .

Should A regret causing B to be annoyed? If A has not intentionally cause B to be annoyed then, i deduct that A should be regretfull of its action and subsequently apologize for causing B to be annoyed. The reason B was annoyed is because 'something' was taken away by A. i.e: Joy, Trust, Faith .. and so on and so forth. So if you take away something from someone.. you have inflict 'loss' to the other party. Just a simple word of SORRY .. may remedy the situation. Sorry expresses regret of that action. However, sorry must be accompanied with Sincerity.

Well, a forced apology = no apology.

So i wonder why some people find it hard to apologize.
1) perhaps the person is too proud to apologize
2) the person didn't realise the 'loss' the other party suffered.
3) the person suscribe to the silliest statement... 'saying sorry too often cheapens the meaning'.... that is an excuse for proud people to save their own butts!

C'mon, a 50 dollar note ..will retain its value as a 50 dollar note no matter how many times you use it. You use it 100 times also .. it still values as a 50 dollar note. On the extreme side, you use it 100000000 times also, it still values as a 50 dollar note. So how can you say 'sorry' so often that it cheapens the meaning ?

Does using the word "I" 1000 times cause it to lose its meaning ? or makes "I" less of a person than the one using it ?

I do not deny that if you use it often, you tend not to mean it sincerly.
When you use it too often it means.. You are the one who kept 'stealing' from people... of course it doesn't mean anything to you cause you didn't experience 'loss' ..

But, to know the value of Sorry, ask someone who is hurt or the one who had a 'loss'

Each and everyone owes a duty of care to your neighbours. Love your neighbours as yourself. Negligence in the Duty of Care is a court case. ( wow professional Studies )

Anyway, just another contradictory statement.

"You always hurt the one you care the most" & " The one who cares for you the most are often hurt by you" ...

aih ... you may disagree la. but its all totally up to you lar...
Remember : to know the value of Sorry, ask someone who is hurt or the one who had a 'loss'

Inspirational ? Its just worth reading and do some constructive reflection

The Mayonnaise Jar and Coffee

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours
in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar....and the
coffee.... A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some
items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up
a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf
balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that
it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them
into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. the pebbles rolled into the open
areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the
jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the
jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes".

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now" said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognise that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
important things - your family, your children, your health, your
friends and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was
lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house
and your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff.

If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued "there is no room
for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never
have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play
with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner
out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the
house and fix the disposal.

Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set
your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee
represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to
show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always
room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

51 Things Girls Don't Know About Guys
One of the things girls would like to understand most is boys. Well, this is it. I personally don't agree to all 51, all guys are different right? Just read on.

51 things girls didn't know about guys

1. Guys hate sluts.

2. "Hey, are you busy?" or "Are you doing something?" - Two phrases guys open with to stop from stammering on the phone.

3. Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about.

4. Before they call, guys try to plan out a little about what they're gonna say so there aren't awkward pauses, but once he's on the phone he forgets it all and makes it up as he goes.

5. Guys go crazy over a girl's smile.

6. Guys will do anything just to get you to notice him.

7. Guys hate it when you talk about your ex-boyfriend or ex love-interest. Unless they're going for the let-her-complain-to-you-and-then-have-her-realize-how-wonderful-and-nice-you-are method.

8. A guy who likes you wants to be the only guy you talk to.

9. Boyfriends need to be reassured often that they're still loved.

10. Don't talk about your guy friends to your boyfriend.

11. Guys get jealous easily.

12. Guys are more emotional than they'd like people to think.

13. Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know what? ...uh...never mind…" would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking. And he'll assume he did something wrong and he'll obsess about it trying to figure it out.

14. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.

15. Guys hate asking parents for money to buy girls presents. So they come up with ideas like saving their lunch money for a week. But it never works because guys are always hungry so they end up asking the parents for money anyway.

16. Girls are guys' weaknesses.

17. Guys are very open about themselves.

18. Its good to test a guy first before you trust him. But don't let him wait too long.

19. Your best friend, whom your boyfriend seeks help from about his problems with you may end up being admired by your boyfriend.

20. If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don't need to give advice.

21. A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.

22. Guys love you more than you love them if they are serious in your relationships.

23. Guys will brag about anything.

24. Guys use words like hot or cute to describe girls, they rarely use beautiful. If a guy uses that, he likes you.

25. Guys think WAY too much. One small thing a girl does, even if she doesn't notice it can make the guy think about it for hours, trying to figure out what it meant.

26. Guys seek for advice from girls not other guys. Because most guys think alike, so if one guy's confused, then we're all confused.

27. Any guy could write out a rulebook or advice book for flirting, but no guy can write out a book about relationships.

28. Try to be as straightforward as possible.

29. A guy has to experience rejection, because if he's too-good-never-been-busted, never been in love and hurt, he won't be mature and grown up.

30. If the guy does something stupid in front of the girl, he will think about it for the next couple days or until the next time he spends time with the girl.

31. No matter how much guys talk about asses and boobs, personality is key.

32. Guys learn from experience not from the romance books that girls read and take as their basis of experience.

33. Guys worry about the thin line between being compassionate and being whipped.

34. If a guy looks unusually calm and laid back, he's probably faking it and is spazzing inside.

35. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl, he really is. Guys rarely say that.

36. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he's just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me.

37. Guys don't really have final decisions.

38. If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him. It doesn't happen that often, so when it does, you know something's up.

39. If your best guy friend seems to avoid you or is never around when you're with your boyfriend, he's probably jealous and likes you.

40. When a guy looks at you for longer than a second, he's definitely thinking something.

41. Guys like femininity not feebleness.

42. Guys don't like girls who punch harder than they do.

43. A guy has more problems than you can see with your naked eyes.

44. Don't be a snob. Guys can be intimidated and give up easily.

45. Everything in moderation. Put on makeup, wear perfume, just not too much.

46. Guys talk about girls more than girls talk about guys.

47. Guys hate rejection, but they hate being led on even more.

48. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions and are MAD confusing but somehow are drawn even more to them.

49. A guy would give his left nut to be able to read a girl's mind for a day.

50. No guy can handle all his problems on his own. He's just too stubborn to admit it .

51. Not all guys are assholes. Just because ONE is a jackass doesn’t mean he represents ALL of us.

Symbolism ?

I'm currently doing a research about symbolism and i was really fascinated how the
art of 'symbolism' is derived from what we do everyday .

Something as simple as the Campbell soup can is regarded as a strong Icon or Symbol in Arts... and i wonder what does it really take to make an Icon ?

An empty table in a room can only define the space it occupies and not what the specific function of the table being there. As soon as i place two goblets on it, and suddenly the existance of the goblets gives a function to the table( which is to hold the goblets). If i were to put another icon on the table..A plate perhaps.. Now the table serves a new purpose. It is now a table possibly display food. It could be a buffet line, or could be a display edge of a shop, but when i add in the cutleries. Then, a new purpose of the table is suggested.. A dining table. And i put in chairs and napkins.. thus it made all the sense out of a table in a space.

At the surface, symbolism seems to be an "intellectualization" ( i wonder this word exist) of every day life. in other words... its merely bullshit-ing.

However, We all can't deny the SYMBOLISM of everything. A spoon symbolises .. EATING. because we use a spoon to eat. But, what diffence is there a spoon to any piece of metal ? can i not eat/ scoop food out with a piece of metal ?

haha.. ok.. this is a perverted version of Symbolism because it was defined by ME and was written out of 'confusion and frustration' of writting an essay on Symbolism.. for the real symbolism, you guys should check out more reliable sources on the net or books.. wakkakaka...

as such, to leave my mark in the world of Symbolism art and architecture... i now post few of this master pieces of mine in which will be my desktop pic(s) until i wish to change..

feel free to use it and spread it. If a campbell soup can can be an icon, so can this. haha... :P. Just as long as i can get people to think that this is a GOOD art. Its all about CONvincing other people. And also, art seldom gets famous until the artist dies.. so .. who knows.. 80-90 years down the road, some rich artsy fartsy would stumble upon this MASTERPIECE of mine.. and decides that this is GOOD art.! :P wakakaka

Lions?

Hey Peeps,

I was just at Men's Breakfast this morning with the mens from Matrix Church ( the church i'm attending now) It was really good!. Well apart from me being late to the breakfast because I find it rather hard to wake up in the morning and even harder these days because of Winter. The temperature difference of being covered with my sleeping bag and not being covered is so drastic and it feels so good being snuggled up in my sleeping bag.

Anyway, Manage to pull myself up and head towards the shower room and then walk to the Cafe for the breakfast.

After the breakfast, we proceed to the next part of the breakfast and we were all sitting in the Church hall. We watched a promotion for Wild At Hearts. The author is coming to Aus in Dec.

Anyway, after that promo, the senior pastor gave a short insight on things about life as a man.

Well, He gave an illustration using Sandbags. Hmm... it somehow sounded like as if Life is just making ends meet, however with much thought to it, by making ends meet is when we then get to Live life..Hmmm, i still have to give much thought and meditation on that analogy because honestly, i dun have any experience under my belt as compared to those men in church in which half of them has white hair.. and bald head at the top! ( i'm not making fun of them, I'm just saying they have lived life long enough to talk about it ).

One thing that really got me thinking is... Why do Men give up dreams just to make ends meet ?...

Randomly,i think men are Lions .. and not Cats!...( duh! who doesn't know that)

hmmm, i think i should stop here before i start talking nonsense....
Till then .... chioz...

I'm hoping to go for a Jazz festival this afternoon ... :)

oh yeah .. one more random note.... Guys...find only someone who appreciates your wisdom.. thats more important... :)

Just when you think it is........ it is actually is not....but you can't help thinking about it..... it just seem so true, but yet your mind says the opposite of your heart.... to make or not to make, to wait or not to wait, to sleep or not to sleep, to be patient or let loose, to give up or to hold on and keep persevering, to decide or not to decide, to forget or to remember, pursue happy-ness or let the fact of life take away the magic of love and life,

At times, we wonder what else is important in our lives, at times we just don't care. At times we feel as if we've got everything we wanted/needed, being the most blessed person on earth, but unsuspiciously feel being the worst/cursed person.

At times we wonder, why bad guys get away, and the good guys end up tragic.... won't it be easy to be a bad boy....effort of being a good Simple man is often under-rated. To be appreciated is hard, to be critised is easy.

to be loved is wonderful, but to love is hard but possibly the best thing...to make others happy is easy, to keep them happy is hard.

guilt comes when you don't give your best with good intention, but when you do...its often unappriciated or misunderstood.

Hillarious but....

this is hillarious, but its also has some good point and truth in it ..

At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down Finally , the guys' side of the story.
(I must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear " the rules "
From the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side.
These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered "1"
ON PURPOSE!

1. Men ARE not mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.

1. Shopping is NOT a sport.
And no, we are never going to think of it that way.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly Acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only If you want help solving it. That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem See a doctor.

1. Anyth ing we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 Days.

1. If you won't dress like the

Victoria

's Secret girls, don't Expect us to act like soap opera guys.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one

1. You can either ask us to do something
Or tell us how you want it done.
Not both.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not! A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will Be scratched.
We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear Is fine... Really .

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun formation,
or golf.

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape!

1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;

But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

.. Well, I shall not be biased. If you have the Female version ( i've read it before but can't remember where) pls let me know and i'll put it on...

in the mean time, girls.. take out your notebook... guys .. sit back and have a good laugh.

Reminiscence of the Past

I am alive but dead,
I am here but there,
I am conscious but unconscious,
I am clear but unclear,
I am in the middle of nowhere,
Just a body in space perhaps
In the middle of the middle of the middle of the middle of my mind,
is a space within a space within a space in which I kept a monster
Vicious and violent, in tearing me to pieces
I hate the fact that fear grips the sense of mortality,
Rendering us weak and vulnarable.
Countless prayers I prayed,
for a better tomorrow.
Sense of existence is vague,
Future bleak,
heart skipped a beat.

ANother randomness

I remember the first time it was,
up high on a hill we were,
sitting on a bench in pair,
celebrating the farewell of a mutual friend,
also to celebrate the sharing of hearts.

It was a cold, chilly, and windy night.
My legs were frozen to the bones,
thankfully you were there to ease the pain.
It was then the begining of a journey,
a journey i took too soon...........

How Low can you Go

Hey peeps..

Did you know blogging is a very good excuse for you to procrastinate and dwell in the house of laziness!.

Anyway, for my faithful readers( not many but a few faithful souls) I am in Wk 12 of my studies.. Which means, there is only 2 more weeks to go be4 I'm done for the semester and after that I will be going to Melb.

Haih ... honestly i really hope my 1 month away from Launnie will help me to regain the joy and refocus my self again at the reason of why i'm here in Aus. Honestly.. no offence to Launnie, but I just can't seem to enjoy Launnie the way i tot i could/would. I don't know why. well, at least the bit that I'm enjoying is the friends that i meet here and for the church and life group.

I can't help but to think to myself if i would feel this way if i was at Melb because the first four days i arrive at Australia, I spent it in Melb and man do i enjoy it there. Every single bit!.. The convinience and everything else!..

Its didn't help much that the library is located so far away from the School of Archi. Its a 20 minutes drive from where i stay and well, if i wanna go to the library to study i only have up to 5. If i'm later than 5 .. i'lll probably be stranded 20 mins drive away from the place i live because buses stop servicing at 5 plus... or the latest 6!... not FUN at all!.

Honestly, as of now.. i can't wait to finish studying and go Home.... back to mal!.. I think i won't mind the hot weather now.... its much more manageable than cold. As we all know, it takes more effort to keep warm than to keep cool..

anyway ..i'm going no where ... hahah alright!... i think i better go now before i say anything i shouldn't! . haha
Chioz peeps!
